Early Help

Springside supports the Early Help strategy for Rochdale, promoting integrated care for families. The Early Help team consists of Mark Hitchen (Deputy Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead), Melody Fierro (Headteacher) as the Deputy Designated safeguarding lead, closely supported by the Deputy Headteacher, Jane Mechen (Deputy safeguarding lead), Acting Assistant Headteacher, Laura Aspin, (Safeguarding Support), bilingual Children's Welfare Officer, Shazye Cosar, (Deputy safeguarding lead), Pastoral Officer, Charlotte Kelly, (Deputy safeguarding lead) and the Gateway Team. As a team, on a rolling programme 4 times per term they deliver 10-minute briefings to school staff to raise the awareness of a range of Early Help issues.

Each term members from the Early Help Team will attend safeguarding network meetings, thus supporting consistency and sustainability.
