Rights Respecting School News, 10.12.21
Here's an overview of this week's Rights Respecting School news...
Last week the learners and staff all enjoyed some fun in the snow with our friends. We wrapped up warm though in our winter coats, wellies, hats and scarves as whilst our learners have the right to have fun, they also have the right to keep warm, dry and for their health to be considered by the adults who look after them (Article 27). Some of us then got warm by making a delicious hot chocolate –YUMMY! This week we have also been busy spreading festive cheer around the school by decorating our classroom’s and Christmas trees as well as making some fabulous Christmas crafts as part of our learners right to the freedom of thought, belief and religion (Article14).
Today we have taken part in Save the Children’s ‘Christmas Jumper day’ at school and we are looking forward to sharing some pictures of some of the exciting activities the learners took part in to celebrate. Whilst we have not asked for learners to bring donation directly into school, if you would like to make a donation to this charity you will find a link to our direct fundraising page on our school Facebook page.
Have a lovely weekend,
Kirstie and the Rights Respecting Steering group
