A Dragon is spotted at school

We have recently had a Dragon spotted on the school roof! We have also found Dragon eggs on the school field. The learners are now writing descriptions of the eggs they have found, searching school for different dragon findings and recording what they find to assist our Dragonologist. His message can be watched by clicking the link here:

Dragonologist message

We are incredibly grateful for the support of Star Tree Studio and A1 Tree surgeons for the help and support with this.

Thank you to Neela from Star Tree Studio, Littleborough, for her input in providing a ‘hook for learning’ for our Dragon themed writing event.  Yesterday our learners celebrated St George’s Day with the discovery of a Dragon’s nest and eggs on our school field.  We had an ‘egg-citable’ day as honorary Dragon Keepers and the fun will continue all week with various Dragon related quests.

We’d like to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to Jamie from A1 Tree Surgeons who gave up his time and resources to help us to celebrate our St George themed writing event.  As you can see the discovery of a Dragon’s nest on our school field certainly gave our learners an interesting first day back with an ‘egg-citing’ week ahead!
