ROAR! The Dinosaur class have had a fabulous first half term in their new class.
All the children have had a great time and really enjoyed getting to know their new teachers and friends. Our topic has been ‘What a wonderful world’ so we have been on a journey to Spain to make a Giant Paella! We have enjoyed visiting a supermarket to see ‘live’ lobsters, tasting citrus fruits, making sausages and making the giant paella at the end of term. We have been reading stories about dinosaurs and practicing our counting skills through games and hands-on activities. Have a fun and well-deserved week off Dinosaurs!
This half term the Dinosaurs have been learning about the seaside. We have been on a trip to St Anne's beach which we thoroughly enjoyed.
In Literacy we have been reading the book, ‘Oliver’s Vegetables’ and completing lots of writing tasks based around this. In Maths we have measured all the children and found that Ayyan is the longest child in class and Katie is the shortest. In Science we have been finding out about different plants . We have been growing our own egghead cress! Well done to our pupil of the term, Anaya who has made amazing progress with her reading and writing! Have a great summer holiday
