Well we have had a busy first half term in Ducklings class. We have got to know all our new friends and have been exploring our new classroom. Some of the children in Ducklings have experienced a lot of “firsts” this half term, first time out on the school bus, first time in the hydrotherapy pool, first soft play session, the list could go on forever!
The children have particularly enjoyed experiencing a sensory story “We’re Going On A Bear Hunt” We explored the story step by step, through real life experiences. We have squelched in mud, walked through a forest, splashed through some water and have explored some “swishy swashy” grass!
Have a lovely week off, we look forward to seeing you in the new half term which will be a very, very busy and exciting few weeks!
Wow! Another busy term has come to its conclusion.
This half term we have seen some amazing progress with the children who are really coming on with their communication. We have covered the Story the hungry caterpillar where we acted out the story , tasted the fruit and foods the caterpillar ate and even wrapped up children and adults into a cocoon .
We wish our children every success as they move onto their new teachers and will be sad to see them go.
Have a lovely summer,
the Early Years Team
