Monkeys

Autumn Term

The ‘Monkey’ class have made a great start to the school year. All pupils have settled well and have made positive relationships with both peers and staff alike. We have been learning about ‘Autumn’ and have enjoyed bus visits to Queens Park and Tandle Hill Country Park. We have been reading lots of stories about jungle animals and been having lots of fun dancing to the ‘Animal Boogie’.

In numeracy we have been learning about numbers through our favourite number rhymes and  practicing our counting.

Science has involved lots of activities surrounding ‘Light and Dark’ and we have created lots of Art work. We are really looking forward to next half term when the focus will be Christmas.

Have a lovely holiday

Summer Term

Wow…what a fabulous half term we have enjoyed in the Monkey class!! We have been amazed by watching our caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies!! In Maths, we have been learning about the differences in size during our topic ‘Big and Small’. We have been very busy in our class garden…..even though watering the plants has been kept to a minimum due to the all of the rain. Still, the weather hasn’t dampened our spirits and we have just returned from a sunny day out at the seaside. We’ve had a fabulous year in school and have made lots of progress. Have a super summer and keep safe!! :)
