We all enjoyed our activity week that was based at Moorland Home. We went to Liverpool and crossed the Mersey on a ferry and caught a tram from Manchester to Rochdale amongst other things. We had lunch at Moorland Home on a few occasions and played outside. It was a great week! We have also been to the Fire Station this week and Gavin the Fireman showed us around the engine.
Everybody got to sit in the cab. It was fantastic! Rod the Community Officer also gave us a talk on Bonfire Safety. We have also been to the Manchester Museum for a science based trip. Our work in Literacy has been based around Autumn and our last picture shows Irfan working on a picture using autumnal colours. Irfan won our Pupil of the Term!
This year we have had a very successful time in singing club. We have gained lots of new members, we have performed at the Bridgewater H all (twice!), we have joined in singing events with other schools and we also sang at the SEND information day at the Rugby club.
Our singing club is definitely something for Springside to be proud of. Our members have developed not only their singing skills but have gained confidence and demonstrated their skills in team work. We are saying goodbye to some of our members who are leaving to go to Redwood, the singing club wish them all the best and hope that they continue to sing and be stars at Redwood!
