Early Help Team
Springside is piloting the Early Help strategy, integrated care for families. An Early Help team has been established with Melody Fierro (Headteacher) as the lead, closely supported by the Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher, bilingual Pastoral Officer, the Th.Inc worker and a member of the admin team. As a team on a termly basis they will deliver training to whole school staff to raise the awareness of the CAF process, the children’s needs and responses framework and effective early help strategies which both teachers and teaching assistants can use.
In January 2016 the Early Help strategy steering group introduced cluster and network meetings led by Katie Charlton who is a seconded Headteacher working with the local authority and schools within each borough. Each half term members from the Early Help Team will attend at least one meeting, thus supporting consistency and sustainability. Opportunity will be given to inform changes to the children’s needs and response framework, discuss threshold cases, inform changes to MARF (Multi-Agency Referral Form) and share information and pool resources.
